Baddadan we. Made in 2024. Light installation.

Utilising the direct and slightly abstract messaging that the humble lyric can have in our favourite tracks. This light work reimagines and re-represents alternate meanings and perspectives that words can hold as they’re amplified and broadcast to audiences in festivals and music venues. Focusing on lyrics from a popular and regularly played song within electronic dance music communities throughout nightlife, reimagined lyrics from the song ‘Baddadan we’ by DJ’s Chase and Status, comment on the subtle power music can have in community to unite people together. Taking on different and alternate functions as an artwork within a festival and gallery environment.
